Additional Info About MM: Aimee Skyler
Bio: My name is Annie and I was an artist who’s body was hijacked to become an athlete. I was one of the greatest Jr. Olympian’s of my time with 214 awards by age 18. All eyes were on me, my father’s pride and joy, but the glory was never good enough to win his love and affection. Winning gold was what made him proud. While the girls in my class were at home playing house, I was on the field clocking faster laps. I was competing in 4 events in 104 temperatures at age 7. My team was 4th in the Nation by age 9. I was State Champion by age 10. I was dragging myself up slippery snows covered hills by tree branches, pushing girls out of my way at age 11. Attending high school training camps and lapping my dad’s college athletes by 5th grade. In Jr. High I had a rival to train with, pushing me to go 1, 2 in every race. We were the talk of the town, the legends in High School. I was running a 5:30 mile but no longer the star of the show. By 18 I was burnt out, my body no longer a vessel to achieve success.
